About Taawla
Taawla started with a simple idea: there are so many good things out there that deserve to be discovered.
I grew up between cultures and food has always been one of the ways I’ve stayed connected to home. The flavours, the rituals, the things that somehow always found their way onto the table - they’re all tied to memories, people and places.
But finding the really good stuff outside of the places you know isn’t always easy.
So I started Taawla.
Taawla is a curated pantry bringing together exceptional food from across the SWANA region and its diaspora. We seek out independent makers, small businesses and brands with something special to say, whether that’s a product rooted in generations of tradition or something completely new.
Everything you find here is chosen with intention. Some things will feel familiar. Some might be completely new to you. The point is to discover something good, learn where it came from and hopefully find a new favourite along the way.
For me, Taawla is about more than food. It’s about the stories, people and places that come with it and creating a space where they can be shared.
